On Wednesday, Samantha and I, went with Rachel's Kindergarten class to the Dinosaur Park. It was a freezing cold day, and it was raining and snowing all the way there. When we got there, the rain and snow did stop and the kids were able to go outside and see all the dinosaurs, but it was still COLD!!!
Rachel has had a loose tooth for a couple weeks now, while she was eating breakfast that morning she kept complaining that it felt "weird" and she couldn't eat. When we stopped for lunch at the park she was so excited to eat her "lunchable" (I never buy them and so she begged for one for her sack lunch). She was sitting there trying to eat the cracker and said, Mom, I wish this dumb tooth would just fall out so that I could eat my lunch. The next thing I knew, she was handing me a bloody tooth and asking for a kleenex because she had ripped it out.
On a side note...she was so excitied to leave her tooth for the tooth fairy and came home and put it right under her pillow. We had a busy night with dance and piano lessons and pizza night at Grandma and Grandpas. When she woke up the next morning she was very disappointed to find that her tooth was still under her pillow and the tooth fairy had not visited her. But then she was very quick to point out that there was a big storm and it is probably very hard for the tooth fairy to fly in the wind. So she left it under her pillow hoping the tooth fairy had not forgot about her and would visit last night.
She did wake up at 2:30 am this morning and come in my room to report that she had checked, and the tooth fairy had made her visit last night! Thank heavens the tooth fairy didn't forget! But just for future reference, the tooth fairy could be held up if there is a strong wind outside.
