Lake Powell

We went down to Lake Powell while the kids were out for spring break.  It was good to get away from all the craziness of life at home and just relax.  The weather was beautiful and we had a nice relaxing weekend!

Of course the weekend included lots of fishing!  Briley is learning the art of bass fishing from her dad and loving every minute of it!

Rachel is not as interested in fishing but she did have fun going with dad and Grandpa to the fillet station to clean the days catch.  While they were filleting the fish she informed me that she wants to be an autographer (aka photographer) when she grows up. Then she proceeded to pose herself and tell me "Mom, now take my picture!"  Here are a few of the places she found for her photo op...

She also took over the camera and took about 50 pictures of her toes and plants and rocks all around the fillet station.

Samantha spent a lot of her time "walking" Abby.  It was pretty cute!  She loved being outside and having the freedom to run back and forth between our camp and Grandma and Grandpas.

Rachel was the only one of us brave enough to "swim" in the freezing cold water.  She loved it and kept begging me to put her back over the side of the boat.  I put her over the side of the boat and held onto her life jacket while Brian and Briley were trying to catch bass, she was splashing and screaming and probably scaring every fish away in miles, but she had a ball.  We didn't even take swimming suits because I didn't think it would be warm enough to swim, so she went swimming in her undies.  She said "Mom, just don't tell the "authorities" that I am swimming in my underwear."
