Cathchin' Up!

We have had a busy summer so far and have not had much time for blogging.  I was going through our pictures this morning and realized I have missed posting quite a few things so here they are.

Field Trips

Samantha and I went with Briley's class on their field trip to the dairy farm.
This is what Samantha thought about the dairy farm.  The whole time we were there she kept holding her nose and telling me "This place is stinky."
This baby calf was born while we were getting off the bus.  It was only about 20 minutes old when we got to see it.

Rachel's class went to The America West Heritage Center and the Willow Park Zoo
Rachel did not want to milk the cow but she did finally get brave enough to pet it.
At the Zoo they were able to touch a snake.  Neither one of them were afraid.

Spelling Bee
Briley made it to the finals in the 3rd Grade Spelling Bee.  She studied hard and had to be one of the top 5 in her class to make it to the final.  She did really well and made it through 8 rounds.  She mispelled the word "board" and was out.  She spelled it b-o-r-e-d.  She should have asked for the definition.  We are so proud of her.  She did great!

Riding Bikes
Briley and Rachel both got new bikes this year.  After lots and lots of hard work and even more patience on Brians part they have both finally learned to ride without training wheels.  They wake up every morning and want to go ride their bikes.

Fishing

Of course we have been fishing.  Here are some pics from Walleye fishing on the Willard Bay.

 Swimming

We finally got to put the pool up and as always the girls are loving it!  This is a picture if Samantha.  I tried and tried to get her to come in and rest but she was having none of it.  A few minutes later Briley came in the house and said Mom grab the camera and come see this.  She had fallen asleep on the deck.

Rachel took this picture after pizza night on the way to take Eisley and Henry home.  So cute I had to post it.  Sure do love all my nieces and nephews!
