Tonsils!

Briley got an ear infection back in December that would not get better.  We ended up taking her to an ear, nose and throat specialist in Ogden.  We went because of the ear infection but left with the possibility of her needing her tonsils out.  When the doctor looked in her throat he asked me if she snored.  I told him that yes she did and he said that he could not believe what a small opening she had in the back of her throat because her tonsils were sooooo big.  This was a surprise to us, no one had ever told us that after looking in her throat before.  They sent us home with orders for her to have an oximetry test.  She had to sleep with the oximeter on her finger to measure the amount of oxygen she was getting while she slept.  We went back for a follow up a week later and they recommeded that she have her tonsils and adenoids taken out.  She was not a happy girl.  I don't know who was more nervous about it, her or her mother.  Here are a few pictures of her waiting to be taken into surgery.

Notice the "cry" eyes.  She started crying before we even left home.

Her feet were freezing and this is what they gave her to put on them.  LAME!

She was not happy about posing for this picture.  Hopefully now that it is all over with she will be able to look at this and laugh.  It was not so funny that day!
